Education Simulations

In 2014 I designed a series of workshops on computational simulation for high-school students across Australia.

An interactive agent-based simulation of disease spread was built in Netlogo, allowing students to investigate the dynamics of epidemics, through conceptual, programmatic and visual learning.

An accessible GUI interface was designed to allow late primary students to use the tools without any coding knowledge, while late high school students could dig into the back-end.

This tool was used to run workshops at Queensland University of Technology, with students from around the country.
